The Main Old Town Walkway
Now we are on the main Old Town Walkway that runs from Kennedy Square across to the Old Town Market. That's the Square in the distance.
New Play Area
There used to be a carpark here covered in beautiful murals. However, the area was redeveloped, and it is now this rather nice play area. I've said it before and I will say it again: don't procrastinate when it comes to appreciating the murals. They won't be here forever. That being said, it is a lovely play area and I think the development was entirely justified.
Towards the Market
We shall be heading away from Kennedy Square towards the Market. We will be using the alleys on the left though, rather than the main walkway itself.
Kiniras Traditional Hotel and Restaurant
Before we go though, let's take a look at the front of the Kiniras Hotel. Earlier in the year the front of this place is adorned with lots of beautiful window boxes. I guess they take them down when Autumn begins to emerge.
Religious Icons
We've walked past the children's play area now, and are in front of the church. The shop behind us has these religious icons as a frontage. Do they sell votive offerings?

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
