Paphos Old Town In 2023 - Part 4
Dwellings

That must be an interesting place to have a flat. I wonder what the noise levels are like at night when the Old Town comes alive? I do hope that all the rental properties get the renovation treatment as well though. A couple of years ago I was shown around some flats in the Old Town which were being rented to refugees, and they were in an appalling state of repair. About four families had to share one tiny bathroom which had a cracked bit of glass as a mirror. The shared kitchen was disgusting too. The landlord was an utter disgrace.
Beeroom

At the main road end of the alley we come to the Beeroom Pub. This is a great place to come to if you like Craft Beer. They also do European Pub Food, by which I mean pizzas, dips and platters, as opposed to meat and two veg. In my younger days I would have been very interested in this joint. I was a big fan of Belgo Centraal in Covent Garden a few decades ago, and can just about recall happy nights spent eating mussells and frites while downing copious quanties of assorted exotically flavoured beers.

Meanwhile, the surrounding buildings are being renovated.
