Old Paphos in 2021 - Part 4
Elean
We're back on familiar territory when we walk through this little alley, as you shall soon see.
Arch. Makariou III Avenue
Before we go any further, lets look at the trees. They were planted only a couple of years ago, but are already making a difference. In years to come they will provide plenty of shade from the hot summer sun. Now, behind us is Kennedy Square. We shall be going there soon, but first, let's pop into that little square on the left in front of us.
All Change
Now this is a surprise. There used to be a wall there, in front of the church. Indeed, the square was covered in murals, as a result of Street Art Square 2015.
A Survivor!
This piece is still here. . Artists: BILLYGEE, LUNE82, TAYSER,PEST,PAPARAZZI
A Whitewash
Where walls still remain, they have been whitewashed clean. So I say yet again, if you like the murals you see in these blogs and want to visit them for yourself, don't assume they will always be here for you to enjoy.
Gone but not forgotten:
