End of the Line

And that was that, the buildings came to an end. The path continued around the summit of the mine, and headed into the heart of the mine itself. So let's walk on down...

To The Centre

As I said previously, I wouldn't walk straight across there. But I did walk a little way down. You can see my film of that on the youtube clip. There are also a few static 360 shots in a virtual tour.

More Colours

Couldn't leave the mine without another shot of some of the more colourful rocks you find here. There is a huge variety, and some of it is more photogenic than others.

To The Pier

To get the copper and sulphur from the mine to the outside world, they built a pier and assorted processing plants between the mine and the sea. This is one of the most prominent buildings that remain today.

Other Side

Naturally I was nozy, so had a wonder around the building to see if there was any way in. However, the doors are all locked and chicken wire blocks all the windows.
