These caterpillars look like they are performing a bizarre mating ritual. Obviously this is not what they are actually doing, as they are baby butterflies and far too young for that sort of thing. Perhaps they saw a couple of romantic snakes indulging in a bit of hanky-panky, and tried to copy them?

I know these aren't processionary caterpillars, but I still wouldn't want to hold one. And if you are unsure which species is which, just adopt the catch-all approach and leave them all alone.

Spring is in The Air!

Evretou Dam

Ever since we explored the abandoned villages of Evretou and Trimithousa, we have been meaning to return and have a look at the rest of the reservoir. A chance wrong turn gave us just the opportunity we needed, so off we went. It took us a few visits to get the full picture of the reservoir, but we saw some lovely scenery along the way...
