Beyond The Houses
Once I had finished flying the drone, I continued down the track. There were more farm buildings before I eventually came across tarmac.

There was a rather battered truck along the way. I bet it has an interesting story to tell...

Back To Reality
Finally I arrived at a familiar road again. If you are driving down the coast road from Coral Bay, it goes below the zoo, and turns sharp left, down into Agios Georgios. A side road continues straight on and ends up at a church. This is that side road. So turn left here to be back on the main coast road.

I shall leave you with one final drone shot. You can see they have improved the road to the church. I blogged about the church a few years ago, and it is a nice place to visit. If I am to explore the gorge, I shall do so from down there. That will be for another day though.
So there you have it. The next time I make this drive, I shall film it, and avoid all the dead-ends. I know how to navigate it now!

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
