Paphos Minerals
Max, the person who pointed me in the direction of the Akoursos Video, turned out to be a mine of information. He also had a fondness for collecting crystals from around the Paphos countryside. He wrote a number of guest blogs, throughout the year, showcasing some of his collection. We have started our own collection, following his example. It is certainly a fun way to spend a morning!
June: Yerokipia Farm
In June, a rather painful visit to Aphrodite Water Park alerted us to Yerokipia Farm, which is an abandoned farm next to it, on the outskirts of Geroskipou.
Old Paphos Revisited
We also returned to Old Paphos, to see how the renovations were progressing. Writing this in December, it is amazing to see how much the place had changed in the last year. This is now all finished.
Letymbou
Paphos Life is a long-term project. One feature we will be adding in the fullness of time, will be an index of the Paphos Villages, complete with businesses (taverns, kiosks etc) and places of interest. The blogs will form a big component of that, and each village will eventually get it's own blog. Letymbou was one of the first places to get this treatment, when we went looking for it's 10 churches. We have been back to this tavern several times since.
July: Giolou
Another village we blogged about was Giolou. You can drive through Giolou without spotting it's main attraction, for us at least. However, when you have a 12 year-old daughter who is mad for rabbits, you notice when they live with chickens in one of the farms. And when you stop to photograph them, some of them just can't help posing.
