Vardas Beach Area
Beyond Vardas Beach

The sea between Vardas Beach and Kissonerga looks great for snorkelling. Note also that there is a coast path here that appears to still be being built.

Eventually the plan is for there to be a Coast Path all the way from Paphos Castle to Coral Bay. That will be a walk and a half!
Kissonerga Coast Path Car Park

In fact, the Vardas Beach path leads onto the Kissonerga Coast Path. Looking at this, it now looks walkable too. When I wrote an article about the path last year it was still being developed.
Kissonerga Coast Path

The Coast Path here is a real pleasure to walk along. There are some nice beaches on it too.
Cynthiana Beach Hotel

As well as the beaches, there are two nice hotels. Cynthiana Beach Hotel is shown here. Further down the path you will find the Vrachia Beach Hotel and Suites. Both will offer you a fantastic location. For more information on walking here, you should check out our full article on the Kissonerga Coast Path. As with any walk at the moment though, make sure you have plenty of fluids and suncream with you if you attempt it.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
