Cyprus In Pictures - June 2025
We post daily "Kalimera" and "Kalispera" pictures to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how June has been in our corner of Cyprus.
Shadeport Success

We shall begin with a look at the Paphos Coast Path between Kefalos Beach Holiday Resort and Lighthouse Beach. Those shades were made by Shadeport, who also did the big shade in our garden. And that's fab. Perhaps the powers that be could have a few installed along the Sea Front? That is pretty much the only gripe people (who like to gripe) have about the area these days.
Louis Imperial Beach Hotel

Beaches obviously featured heavily in our pictures in June. This shot shows part of Pachyammos Beach in front of Louis Imperial Beach Hotel.
Venus Beach

Meanwhile, on our Paphos Chat facebook group, Venus Beach was coming in for some stick. Apparently the attendants there were trying to charge a man €7.50 for two sunbeds and a parasol, when he only wanted one sunbed. The attendants need to sort their act out, as there are plenty of other beaches in the area who are quite happy to rent out a single sunbed.
And if that happens to you, stand your ground. You don't have to pay for what you don't want to use.
Kataklysmos

The start of June saw the Kataklysmos Festivities arrive at the Sea Front. Here you can see most of the stalls from above.
SODAP Sunshine

The SODAP Beach is very popular in central Paphos, sandwiched between the Sea Front and the Hotel Strip. Behind it you can see the Amavi Hotel, which is "Couples Only".

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
