The Necropolis in the Neopolis
Natural Caves
As you can see, these walls have not been carved. This is a natural cave, complete with a bit of Cyprus Rubbish. It is a very odd place to dump a tyre though. I guess it has been there since before the tree grew so big.

    Ripe For Exploitation
I do hope, when they develop this site, that they make use of all the tombs. Even the caves could be left as a feature to a garden, similar to the ones at Ivis Maliotou Park, in the Old Town.
The tombs themselves could be turned into a tourist attraction as well. This has been done again in the Old Town, where the catacombs are on display. It would be a shame to just bulldoze them all into oblivion.
Don't get me wrong. I am not against progress. Where I grew up in Surrey is radically different now to what it was back when I was a child. People need houses and businesses to work in. It is wrong to arrive in Paphos, or anywhere, and expect it to remain as you found it forever. I just hope they utilise the history they will be building on, and turn it into an asset, rather than just destroy it.
Exciting Times Ahead
I mean, imagine this as a bustling business park, with landscaped gardens showing off the ancient history. That would be pretty magnificent. I hope the Neopolis retains some of the Necropolis as it gets developed.

There's a very nice church on the front at Paphos. It is built next to an area of land that until now has been empty, save for some archaeological ruins.
