Kato Arodes
Guard Dog
Be aware, when exploring, of the ferocious hound which protects one of the properties. The Baskerville Pooch is nothing in comparison.
This was an enigmatic scene. Two cars, clearly in use, parked outside a house that is, how shall we put it, in need of a bit of TLC. Were they there to start the annual cleanup of the grounds, or were they using a different building?
Old Doors
I love old doors like this. If they could talk, imagine the tales they would tell.
A Tale of Two Villages
So Kato Arodes is a bit of a puzzle. It was obviously in decline at one point, but is on it's way back up again. Perhaps the post-troubles decline was brought about by the bad earthquake that hit the area in the 90s? That would certainly make sense.
Interesting Feature
We came across this as we were leaving Kato Arodes, on the way to Ineia. It is worth a look.
