Kato Arodes
Table With Attitude

Now that's what I call a proper table. Nobody is going to be knocking that over in a hurry.

Peeling Paint

Not everywhere, however, is inhabited. But don't assume that the neglected properties are abandoned. Some of them will be summer homes that won't get used until July / August.
Outdoor Oven

These weeds may only have been growing for a few weeks, even though it looks like they have been there for years.
When we last visited Foinikas, we noticed that the now unusable road was completely overgrown with weeds. If you looked at it, you wouldn't have known it was a road at all. This would have happened in just a few short weeks, not years. So if you go exploring in Kato Arodes, please respect the properties, and assume that they are still lived in, no matter how ramshackle they look.
Overgrown Garden

Besides, the vineyard opposite our front garden looked a bit like this front garden a couple of weeks ago. But the farmer has been out ploughing the weeds away, and now it looks spic and span.
Cool Summer Nights

You can imagine a family staying here to escape the heat of the city in the hot summers. Like the entire middle region of the western end of Cyprus, Kato Arodes will be a few crucial degrees cooler than Paphos City, and a whole lot les humid.
