Cyprus Snow
Essential Cars

You really need a decent 4x4 if you live up here. Not just for when it snows, as it doesn't do that very often. But if you go into the forest, you can easily get stuck in mud at this time of year otherwise. The vineyards too are not exempt. You would be amazed how quickly a track can disintegrate.

Panagia Church

We are driving past the main church in Panagia now. It is hard to say whether it has been used today yet. There are no tracks in the snow outside, but the snow has only recently fallen, so who knows?
And yes, it is yet another Church dedicated to St George.
Mystery Flower Pot

I'm not sure where we were when Alex took these next two shots.
Water Feature

The water fountain looks very pretty in the snow.
Leaving Panagia

As you may have gathered, after Panagia we followed the main road round towards Paphos. We could have headed off into the forest (eventually ending up at Cedar Valley), but by now the charm of the snow had worn a bit thin. We could hear the distant call of hot coffee and central heating.

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
