Seven Days In Paphos
Overgrown

The village still has a couple of inhabitants, and it looks like some more people are moving in too. Most of the houses though, are now very overgrown.

Day 5: Pomos Area

On the fifth day we headed out towards Pomos. Along the way, I popped in to a very remote location I have been studying for some time. We did a spot of bushwhacking through an overgrown area and stumbled upon this ancient bridge.
Future Progress

Beyond the bridge, the route got a bit trickier. As we already had a long day planned I didn't go any further than this. I will however return, as there may well be something interesting further upstream. Watch this space...
Pachyammos Chapel

After our slight diversion we drove up to the North coast and headed East all the way to Pachyammos. Beyond the village there is a left turn that takes you down to the main beach. At the far end there is a graveyard on top of the cliffs. In that graveyard you will find one of the most amazing chapels in Cyprus.
Pachyammos Church

From the chapel, we drove to the main church in Pachyammos. This is an amazing place. You can take a virtual tour of Agios Raphael here.
