Petratis Gorge - Part 2
Goats Only

There's no way I am getting up that way! So just remember to always keep checking ahead when you follow a path, and don't go anywhere you cannot safely return from, if you have to.

Follow The Plateau

Anyway, though I was on a nice, gentle area, it soon became apparent that I was still only half way down the gorge. What's more, the gentle area ended with another cliff. So instead of going down, I walked along the plateau, carefully picking my way through any rocks.
Mysterious Cave

I soon stumbled up on a mysterious cave. It smelled strongly of goat inside, and I even found an old goat carcass, which wasn't much more than a skeleton. Consequently, I didn't explore the cave for too long. Besides, it didn't look like it contained any forgotten Pirate treasure or anything equally exciting.
Beyond The Cave

After I had finished with the cave, I continued along my plateau. I was aware that it was becoming narrower, and the grassy slope had given way to more inhospitable boulders. However, provided I kept away from the edge I was ok.
Hmmmm...

I reached this point, and didn't fancy continuing down there. It was a bit steep for my tastes. So instead I walked slightly uphill to see if I could get around the large boulder that was in my way. This involved me hacking my way through a pile of stinging nettles. I actually found a stick that to be honest, looked like it had been left there for just that purpose.

We weren't disappointed, as you shall see...
Androlikou Countryside
Androlikou is an old Turkish Cypriot Village in the Akamas, South West of Polis. It was largely abandoned after the invasion, though there are signs it is springing into life again. There is a quarry directly below it, which dominates the surroundings, but if you look past that you will see an amazing variety of countryside.Good Pages To Visit
