If you look carefully you can see that this tree also has almonds unharvested from last year.
Agios Theodoros
This is the church in question. It is a beautiful little place well worth a visit at any time of the year. You can also park here and walk down into the Ezousa Valley. It is a beautiful route which I covered in a previous article.

In the front right of this shot you can see a tin roof. This protects the ruins of an old church which the current one was obviously built to replace.
Missing Vines
I photographed this scene just after we started the Paphos Life website, nearly seven years ago. There used to be a vineyard in this field, and it made some nice interesting lines in the composition.

Paphos is very beautiful in the Springtime. The budding flowers and verdant pastures are a stark contrast to the golden brown hues of the summer. A simple drive through the countryside can yield some colourful displays. Don't just drive past them. Stop, and take in the scene.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
