Cyprus In Pictures October 2023
We post a daily "Kalimera" picture to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how October has been in our corner of Cyprus.
SODAP Beach

At the start of the month the weather was unseasonably hot. Mind you, I am sat writing this on November 2nd. I went out this morning and it was 28°C, so the weather is still great. Anyway, this was the view of SODAP Beach from the viewing platform above the new restaurant.
Venus Beach

And there was a similar scene along the coast towards Coral Bay. This is Venus Beach, and it is behind the Venus Beach Hotel.
Seafront Scene

They are still swimming at Paphos Sea Front too.
Pachyammos Beach

And a short walk along the Coast Path will bring you to this beach, which is great for families with small children.
St George's Chapel

Here's a nice view of St George's Chapel in Chloraka. It's lovely inside too. Don't take our word for it though. A while ago we did a virtual tour of it. Click the link above to view it.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
