Cyprus in Pictures - September 2023
We post a daily "Kalimera" picture to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how September has been in our corner of Cyprus.
Harbour Scenes

We begin our month looking over the harbour. People have been questioning why the blue seating is still up. Well, because it is still being used. And when they put on a show here, I have to say it looks pretty spectacular, with the castle illuminated in the background.
Corallia Beach

There appears to be a campaign of misinformation on social media at the moment. I have seen numerous people saying they have been told that there are no sandy beaches in Paphos. This is of course, a complete lie. Coral Bay alone boasts two lovely sandy beaches and there are numerous others spread along the coastline. For more information, check out our Paphos Beaches Directory.
Latsi Harbour

Of course, Paphos City doesn't have the monopoly on harbours in the wider district of Paphos. Latsi, on the North coast, has its own harbour, which is well worth a visit.
Paphos Beer Festival

Indeed, Latsi Harbour has a famous seafood festival earlier on in the year. And Paphos Harbour hosted the beer festival at the start of September. You can see all the stalls here.
One Final Holiday Snap

I couldn't resist posting one last holiday snap of Fig Tree Bay in Protaras though. Mind you, I have to say, that even though we have the option of using the most popular beaches, the one we return to the most is Geroskipou Beach. I wouldn't pick it if I wanted to do a spot of snorkelling, but as a place to relax and have space to breath, it really can't be beaten.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
