Cyprus In Pictures - June 2023
We post a daily "Kalimera" picture to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how June has been in our corner of Cyprus.
The Road To Salamiou
One of our quests when we produce articles is to show people that there is more to Paphos than the coastline and the Archaeological Sites. This was taken on one of the less well-known routes up to the Troodos Mountains. It shows the Xeros Valley and in the very far distance, you may just be able to make out the city of Paphos itself.
Dragon Cave Beach
We are also big fans of the North Coast of Paphos. If you want to quibble, Dragon Cave Beach is actually just in Nicosia. However, it is right next to Pomos, and together they became part of our Fourth Cyprus Roadtrip eBook, which we published in June. Use the link to see them all on Amazon. If you are renting a car, then for the sake of less than a pint we will give you some great days out.
Alexander The Great
The sunbeds appeared in earnest in June too. This is the beach that the Alexander The Great Hotel overlooks.
Paphos Harbour
The Harbour is now shaping up into a thing of beauty once again. If you look carefully you can see they have laid a new floor in the centre right of the picture. That's the darker grey area. And towards the left you can just make out the distinctive blue and white of Harry, the O La La! man.
Peyia From Above
You would be hard-pressed to spot anybody in this shot. Peyia Stadium is there for all to see though. To the right, Peyia Market is in full swing.
