Ahead you can see the viewing platform I mentioned. Let's go and take a look.

Amphitheatre

From the viewing platform you can get a good look at the Amphitheatre that is still being excavated. There is another one in the Archaeological Park which you should definitely visit.

Towards The Park

Technically, you can see the other Amphitheatre from here too. Well, it is below and in front of the lighthouse, but I can't make it out in the fading light.

I want to finish the article here, so for now I am heading in this direction. There is something under that roof.

Pebble Mosaic Floor

The following comes from a handy sign:

This is the largest excavated pebble floor in Cyprus. The scenes are reproduced with black pebbles on a white background and are divided into three panels that are framed by bands in brick-red colour. The central panel depicts two dolphins holding tridents in their mouths. The west panel depicts a possibly male figure that is walking towards the northern side. His right hand is raised while in his left he holds a tall conical object, probably a utility vessel. The entire scene is framed by a band with repetitive coil patterns.

The sea plays a big role in the charm of Kato Paphos. In this series we have already seen the main Sea Front, but in this article I thought it was time to take a look at the Coast Path that runs all the way from Geroskipou to the Castle. We haven't got time to cover it all, so we shall head up to the SODAP beach and have a look at that section.
