I did a walking tour film of White River Beach in January. This was a drone shot of the beach taken at the same time. From this distance you can just about see the cairns, but you really need to be on foot to appreciate them fully.

For some reason this was the most popular picture of the month. You can see the restaurant renovations on the left too.

That little Fisherman statue is difficult to photograph from the ground, as so many people want to see it. I love how the most touched areas are a buffed deep brown colour, compared to the bluish hues of the rest of the Statue. You can see the same on the Modern Aphrodite Statue by the castle, but those show that most people seem to like touching her bottom.

This is a nice shot of Antasia Beach Bar and SODAP Beach. Since then, storms have deposited a fair amount of seaweed here, though it will be removed before the tourist season starts. You can also see the abandoned Aloe Hotel in the background. Later in the month it would be hit by not one but two fires. We wrote an article on the first one, which was more serious. The second one seemed to be in the grounds.

If you want a cake in Old Town, you could do much worse than head down to Stephanie Rose, just outside Ibrahim's Khan. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.
