Cyprus In Pictures - July 2024
We post daily "Kalimera" and "Kalispera" pictures to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how July has been in our corner of Cyprus.
Alexander The Great Hotel

In July we took delivery of a new drone, and boy we have had fun with it since its arrival. It takes amazing pictures, as this shot of Alexander The Great Hotel and the SODAP beaches will testify.
Harbour Standards

It was a hot month, and it looks like August will be more of the same. At the Harbour the Statue of Modern Aphrodite always gets lots of attention, and the castle is a big draw too. I especially like it when you can get a nice reflection in the moat.
Ok, I know it isn't a moat, but it isn't a castle either.
Argaka Eatery

We also love the North Coast of Paphos. This is the Pas To Kima restaurant, in Argaka.
Lighthouse View

One criticism of the walkway is a lack of shade. I think in a few years the problem will have outgrown itself, as they have planted a number of trees and shrubs along the route.
Paphos Sea Front Alley

This alley took a lot of people unawares. It is at the top end of the Sea Front, next to Costa Coffee.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
