I am drawn to old ruined buildings like a fly to a cow pat, so I went for a little wander. I am guessing that some of the arches used to house self-contained units.

Rickety Stairs

In the larger building there was a rickety staircase. You will be pleased to note I did not attempt to climb it.

Mezzanine Level

It looks like it led to some sort of Mezzanine level. Looking at that wooden framework I can't help thinking I am wandering around an old DIY shop, or something like that. You can imagine lots of planks of wood being laid across those beams.

It was a fairly interesting place to explore. I did so in part because I enjoy that sort of thing, but also I wanted to capture some pictures of what the area looks like at the moment. Then, when it appears all tarted up in a few years time, I will have some handy "Before" shots.

One thing is for certain though: the buildings were definitely not residential.
