Paphos Old Town in 2026 - Part 3
The Paphos Cat Lady
In the Car Park, if you are there at around midday, you may well bump into Gaynor, the Paphos Cat Lady. Here she is doing her thing. For more information check out her Facebook Page.
Ring Road
If you take the path next to the Cat Lady, that runs out of the car park and down the hill, it brings you back to the Ring Road that runs through Old Town. The cementography picture we saw earlier is just to the right of this, but we are turning left now, past the Religious Book Store.
Ongoing Renovation
This is another building that is in the process of being tarted up. The area behind it has already been completed and is a lot tidier than it used to be.
Side Entrance
This building has had a lot of work done to it. Compare it to what it looked like a few years ago:
Tyre Shop
In 2017 the building was a Tyre Shop. While the area was getting renovated this mural was painted on the side wall. At the time, everybody got a good view of it, because part of the Ring Road was closed while they upgraded it. While they were doing that, the remaining road was traffic-light controlled, with cars driving down it in both directions. This meant everybody got to see the mural being painted.
Once the roadworks were complete, the one-way system was re-introduced. Unfortunately that meant that nobody really saw the mural any more, as they were always approaching from the wrong direction.
