Paphos Sea Front Gale

After three weekends of rain, the weather decided to up the ante a bit and added a gale into the mix. Finally the sea demonstrated just how poweful it could be. This always makes for a spectacular scene so we decided to join in the fun and went out to take some photographs...

Let's begin our photo journey at the Eastern end of the Sea Front, near Bania Restaurant. Aside from the beach by the castle, this is the best place to see crashing waves when the sea gets rough.

I can't tell from this distance but I imagine the flag on the right on the Lifeguard Station means "No Swimming".

It looked like somebody was contemplating having a swim, which is not a good idea at all. Perhaps I am doing them a disservice though. They could be a photographer trying to get the ultimate shot. Who knows?
