Paphos Old Town In 2023 - Part 1
Nola

Next to the market you will find a newish restaurant called Nola. It is in a prime location, so expect to pay €15 for a burger and chips. You can see their full menu online.
Agora Restaurant

Now things get a little confusing. On the opposite side of the road to Nola is another Eatery, which has a great location. According to Google Maps, this is called Agora Restaurant. The reviews (very good) and photographs certainly relate to this place, but the Facebook page linked to it refers to another Agora Restaurant up in Kennedy Square. It is confusing becasue the reviews suggest that this place has a set menu, whereas the Facebook page offers completely different food.
At the end of the day though, there are a lot of places to eat in Old Town, as you shall see in the forthcoming articles, and they are all in close proximity of each other. So if one particular place doesn't rock your boat, just have a look elsewhere.
Elysium View

At the front of Old Town there is a nice view point that overlooks a carpark and bus station. I think it was actually built to show off the views beyond that though, towards the coast.
Agora Agro

To add further confusion to the Agora Restaurant conundrum, there is another restaurant here on the other side of the Market Entrance, called the Agora Cafe. Given that "Agora" means "An assembly of people" you can see why that would make sense. But bear this in mind if somebody says they will meet you at the Agora. Get them to clarify which one.
Parting Shot

We shall end Part 1 looking at the elevator at the front of the viewing platform. I witnessed it in use just after I took this picture, so can confirm that it is still working! The elevator takes you down to the aforementioned car park.
In Part 2 we shall take in some more of Old Town, including Ibrahim's Khan and some nice murals. Stay tuned!
