School Reared Chickens?

I could tell it was a school building just by looking at it. But here's the proof. You can see on the far wall. I imagine the chicken cages came later, once the school had moved. They themselves now appear to be abandoned.

School Toilets

On the other side of the playground, you can see what presumably are the toilets.

Did there used to be a seat in here, or is it modelled on an old French toilet?

The funniest loo I ever used was about as sophisticated as this. However, it was situated in a guest house on top of a cliff in Nepal. The toilet protruded over the side of the cliff, and through the hole you could see the bottom of the valley, far far below. If you didn't need to go before you entered the loo, one look at the drop and you would soon be evacuating your bowels like a goodun.
