Cyprus In Pictures - March, 2026

Published 3rd of April, 2026

We post daily "Kalimera" and "Kalispera" pictures to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how March has been in our corner of Cyprus.

We will kick March off with a look at Pachyammos Beach and the Louis Imperial Beach Resort. This is being renovated at the moment and will be relaunched - so we hear - as the Imperial Island. Something like that anyway. We drove through the car park to see what we could see. They were certainly renovating it, though the signage hadn't changed yet.

They are also renovating Baracas Bar in St Georges, Chloraka.

I suppose I should address the elephant in the room. March has been dominated by the war in Iran. Initially most flights to Cyprus were cancelled as a result of a small drone attack at the RAF base. Since then, all flights are back in operation, even to the Middle East, but the impact on tourism is still being felt. I can assure you that Cyprus is 100% safe, so don't worry if you have got a flight booked here in the near future. You will have a lovely time.

The other elephant has of course been the weather. It has been the wettest March for over 10 years, which is great news for our reservoirs. April has started off fairly damp too, though more sun is forecast soon.

You wouldn't know from all our Kalimera pictures that it was so rainy. That's because I take them in batches. Every so often on a nice sunny day, I go out with my camera to snap a bunch of photographs. So when it rains, you don't have to look at a gloomy grey picture.
