Exploring Paphos In The Rain - Part 2
Reduced Vegetation
Looking at this, it looks like they have recently been cutting the vegetation down. This could explain why I hadn't noticed the buildings before.
What Happened Here?
This looks like it was hit by a random meteorite!
Anyway, that's enough about Agios Fotios. Let's carry on down the road to Choulou.
This Way To The Waterfall
I had hoped that the cafe in Choulou was open, as it was past lunchtime and I was hungry. Unfortunately it appeared to be closed. So I headed to the church. Not to pray for my stomach, but because I had heard that the waterfall was behind it. Sure enough, I came upon these signs. KATAPPAKTHE means Waterfall. VRYSI means "tap". Oh incidentally, that number isn't 50m, but 250m.
Mystery Home
On the way down to the waterfall, you go past this house. I presume it isn't abandoned, though I saw no sign of life.
Mini Gorge
Looks like we are getting closer...

We've featured a lot of churches in our blogs. This is not surprising, as they are lovely building ornately decorated, and great places for quiet reflection on a hot summer's day. Given that I wrote a blog about Statos last week, it would be unfair of me not to cover its close neighbour, Agios Fotios. Their histories are intertwined, as they were both abandoned for the same reason. Indeed, they merged to form a new, single town, called Statos Agios - Fotios. So what was left behind...Good Pages To Visit
