Distant Church

Looking back, I could see a distant church on top of the hill. I have been meaning to visit that since we first came here but have not yet got around to it.

It was a good job I didn't drive down that track. This is how it ended.

Now, I had taken the shovel out of the boot of the car, but even with that, there was no way we were going to build an effective dam here. There was just too much water flowing.

However, a little further downstream we found this feeder stream. We could build a nice dam up here...

This seemed as good a spot as any, but before we got digging, I thought I would have a bit of a look around.
