Cyprus In Pictures - April 2025
Popular View

This is probably the most popular scene that I take. People seem to prefer this view than one taken from the Municipal Baths looking towards the Castle. Perhaps it is because it includes the tower, which is a major talking point, whether you love or hate it.

Azia Resort

There is another spot for sun worshippers between St George and Sandy Bay. You will find these sunbeds just past Baracas Bar, and I presume they are part of the Azia Resort.
Odd Bridge

Now this bridge has puzzled me for years. I need to have a closer look, but from a distance it looks amazing. Lovely and eccentric. Just the sort of thing I like. You can find it next to Coral Bay Strip, slightly inland.
Coral Bay Beach

Speaking of Coral Bay, the main beach itself does not yet appear to be open for tourism. There are no sunbeds or facilities accessible, though the Watersports have started up. What happens when somebody needs the loo though?
If you want sunbeds and facilities, head to Corallia Beach instead. That is fully open. To get there from Paphos, get the 615 bus and stay on it until it terminates. You will find yourself in the Car Park by the beach.
Harbour View

The tour boats are now beefing up for the season. Oh and we have some big news about tours. We usually promote the Viator site, as you can see hundreds of available tours and book online. It is run by the people who do Trip Advisor so is very trustworthy. Anyway, until May 16th, you can now get 10% off any booking made. So click on our affiliate link below, and use the code on checkout to save yourself some souvlaki money.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
