Cyprus In Pictures - February 2025
We post daily "Kalimera" and "Kalispera" pictures to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how February has been in our corner of Cyprus.
Pachyammos Paradise

Let's begin our view of February with a view of half of Pachyammos Beach. Bizarrely I had never noticed the underwater reef here before. To the rear you can see the Olympic Lagoon Resort.
Cheesy Puffs

The Wooden Pub at the Sea Front is a popular place for people watching, and a nice cool drink while you munch on a complementary cheesy puff. And if you have a hankering for the crunchy snack but can't make it down here, you can also buy them at Papantoniou's Supermarket.
Not For Rent

Cyprus has a big Coffee Culture. Most villages will have at least one coffee shop and often three or four.
Keo Warehouse

If you visit the Wooden Pub you may also be a fan of Keo. This warehouse has tons of the stuff. You can find it near the Neon Mall.
Pirate Pleasure

There are a number of tour boats moored at the harbour. The most stylish of them must surely be the Jolly Roger. If you want information on tour availability, then you should check out the Viator Website.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
