Sandy Beach
Coral Bay Beach was the first beach we visited in Cyprus. We hired a villa near the carpark we started this article from, and this was our local spot. We loved it, and it was perfect for a family wanting to make sandcastles and ampitheatres. So a visit here always brings back happy memories, no matter what the weather is like.
Ok, so let's get our bearings. We are at the Eastern end of the beach here, looking towards the villas that surround the bay.
Go West...
The bay is quite large, with a hotel at the far end.
Storm Damage
The storm had blown down a number of the bins, and left some interesting rivulets in the sand.
Top Tourists
Major respect to this family. They had turned up at the beach in the pissing rain, but were determined to make the most of it. They were taking snaps for Instagram (I presume) and weren't going to let a bit of bad weather spoil their fun.

Coral Bay Beach is one of the Jewels in Paphos' Tourism Crown. It is the perfect place for a family to enjoy a day at the seaside. Numerous watersports are available, and facilities at either end ensure that everybody is properly catered for. In this tour we visit the beach twice. eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
