Chasing A Rainbow
Rainbow's End
This seemed to be the rainbow's final destination. Looks like there are the foundations of a building there.
Now though, I wanted to get to Evretou. It was raining heavily by now, but I had come this far so I thought I may as well go the whole hog.
A few Days Ago...
We visited the overspill a few days ago, and could see then that it was nearly overflowing.
Yesterday...
And yesterday, the first wind-assisted trickles were making their way over the top.
It's Full(ish)!
So there were still a few centimetres to go. However, the view from the overspill is still magnificent, especially when you consider what it looked like last summer.
Today...
And this morning, it still hadn't properly overflowed! Surely it must go today. Be warned though, if you are thinking of driving up to have a look, it is incredibly muddy up here. Our Pajero has decent tyres (thanks to Costa's!) but it was a real slide getting out of the little car park.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
