We will return to the amphitheatre in a little while. Before we can get there, we have to walk down some more streets.

Ruins Everywhere!

These ruins were next to an apartment block. Unlike the amphitheatre, they aren't fenced off. It makes you wonder what is underneath those gardens you can see in the distance. When I was young, we lived in a house that was built on the foundations of an old farm. I used to love digging up the garden and finding old relics from fifty years ago. Imagine how much more fun it would be having a dig in one of these gardens?

Guard Pooches

These two dogs were quite cute. However, they reappeared when we had reached the other side of the amphitheatre, and for some reason they were now very snappy.

New Build

Beyond the amphitheatre, it is clear that there is a lot of renovation going on. These stones were, I think, destined for a new floor.

Let's Take a Look At Fabrica Hill

We've driven past Fabrica Hill many times over the years, and often wondered what was up there. (It's the area of land diagonally opposite The Mall, in case you didn't know). After comments and photos started appearing on the forum about the erection of a raised walkway, we decided a visit was overdue. With no expectations of what we would see when we got there, other than a vague feeling of disappointment that despite what it looked like, they weren't building a roller coaster, this is what we found.

Paphos Archaeological Park

When relatives visited us a few weeks ago, we took them to some of the local tourist must-see sites. A definite highpoint was the visit to the Archaeological Park. We were especially lucky because it was spring time and all the wild flowers were in bloom...
