The Asprokremmos Reservoir Is Filling Up!
Enjoy The View
Even if you turn up and the water hasn't yet overflowed, the views here are tremendous.
Distant Wind Farm
Oreites Windfarm is another notable landmark. Today we could see it clearly from the reservoir.
People Watching
I wonder what the coach party thought of their trip. They might have been disappointed with the lack of overflow, but to be honest, a couple of months ago nobody imagined that it would be overflowing now.
Save The Bees
As you have already seen, the last time it overflowed, there was a huge amount of water. You can see how powerful it was in this picture. You see the bee hives, and the road running towards them? Well to the right of that, you can see another track, running to the riverbank. Until a couple of years ago, that was the route to the bee hives. But a huge chunk of land was washed into the river. You can see, closer, where another chunk has eroded. If much more of this happens, then those bee hives themselves will be in danger. I hope they have contingency plans. Otherwise there could be one hell of a swarm!
Downstream
I know about the track because I drove down it to take this picture.
