The Asprokremmos Dam Revisited

That is definitely 100% full now. When we made our first film there was some debate as to whether the reservoir was full or not. Clearly, water was flowing over the top, but it was "wind assisted". Does it matter? Only if you have bet money on the exact overflow time.

Wind Not Required

Shortly after taking this shot, a police car arrived and parked just where that car you can see is. At the same time, the fisherman vanished, though that may have been a coincidence.
Down The Other Side

There is actually quite a lot of water flowing down the Overspill. You can't really see it that well here, but if you look below the dam the river is flowing well. I took this image from the filmclip we made of our visit. It is a bit grainy as a result.
Downstream

You can see here just how much water is coming over the overspill.
Bees Are Saved!

People were worried about the bees. Don't worry - they were never in any danger. The people who placed them there knew what they were doing.
Once I had taken my shots, the tour groups started arriving. If you are planning a trip, avoid around 9AM. There must have been 6 groups by the time I left.
Anyway, that's the Asprokremmos. The big one is still to come though. Will Kouris overflow? Only time will tell.

Kouris Reservoir
We've neglected the dams for a while. They've overflowed, and now the waters are subsiding, ever so slightly. But what of the reservoirs further afield? Kouris has a church which is nearly submerged when it is full. So we thought we better photographed this semi-submerged church while it is still semi-submerged.
Foinikas Views
We just can't keep away from Foinikas. Somebody posted some pics of the abandoned village on our Paphos Chat facebook group, and people were asking how to get there. We bumped an old blog showing the route, but decided that a film was also needed. While we were out shooting it, we decided to take some more shots, but this time we went for some outstanding views...Good Pages To Visit
