Honestly, the food here was amazing, and the service exemplary. Our waiter was from Nepal and I had visited his home town Pokhara many years ago, so I was able to greet him with the one Nepalese word I can remember. We finished our food just in time to see the sun set. Once again, the swimming pool did not disappoint, and allowed me to take this lovely picture.
To The Bar
We rounded our visit off with a trip to the bar.
Cocktails Galore
The barman was keen to show off his talents and presented Alex with a selection of cocktails. In her defence she did actually pass most of them on to other ladies once we had photographed them!
Evening Entertainment
With drinks in hand we settled down to watch the entertainer as he belted out some very nice tunes. The entertainment varies from night to night, and for more information you should look on that Infinity Menu.
Verdict
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Alexander The Great. The staff there were magnificent and clearly loved working for the hotel. The room was immaculate, facilities top notch and the food was out of this world. We couldn't fault the place.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
