A bank of spring flowers in the abandoned village of Vretsia. This used to be a Turkish Cypriot village until the troubles of 1974. Since then it has been used to house refugees. There was also a brothel here, if the stories we hear are true. The tavern itself burnt down in 2017. Before that, it used to serve as a handy break stop for hunters during the hunting season, and for intrepid tourists and explorers during the rest of the year.
Vretsia is well worth a visit, and you can drive there on a proper road, so you don't need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. If you plan on exploring Paphos Forest though, that is strongly recommended.
