Coral Bay Beach Walk
Coral Bay plays host to two of the most popular beaches in Paphos. In the next two articles we will have a grand tour of both of them, starting here with Coral Bay Beach. So jump in the 615 bus from Paphos and disembark when you pass through Coral Bay Strip, and let's begin...
Main Car Park

We shall begin our tour on the main road. The car park is on your left, though there is an overflow on the right. You can also see the bus stop that will take you back to Paphos on the right.
Walk This Way

On entering the car park, you will see this gap in the shrubbery. A track here leads down to the beach. Well, it leads down to the left side. Coral Bay Beach is quite long, and has two restaurant areas. This leads to one of them. Alternately, you can walk to the right for a bit and find another route down. If you are going to be visiting on multiple occasions you should try both sides.
On The Left

Our tour will start on the left though. This way we won't be walking into the sun.
To The Beach

Near the restaurant areas you will find a lot of sunbeds and parasols. Don't worry though, if you want to use your own towel to lie on. There is plenty of bare beach available as well. Cost of sunbed is €2.50 and €2.50 for a parasol. You only have to pay for what you want to use. So if you don't want a parasol, just close it.
Now, you will see that there is a path leading down to the beach here, but it isn't exactly wheelchair friendly. If you have mobility issues, there is a better route to the beach...
Topside Cafe

This is the cafe on the left side. Note that there are showers and toilets to the left of it. Note also, the blue lines running through. This is the route to follow if you have a wheelchair or buggy.

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
