Polis Christmas Village
Christmas Bear

I mean, that couldn't get much more festive really, could it?
More Stalls

There were a few stalls I had missed on the way up, so I snapped them coming back. Note also, that there is a stall closed next to this one. There are set hours for the village, but stall holders can open and close within that time whenever they want. So don't necessarily expect every stall to be open all the time. We will give you the official hours in a minute.

Come On Down!

So, what are you waiting for? We had a lovely time wandering through the Polis Christmas Village. They have done a tremendous job of making a festive attraction, which would make even the most jaded old curmudgeon fancy a nibble on a mince pie and a sip or two of mulled wine.
The opening hours of the Christmas Village are as follows:
Weekends and Holidays: 10 am - 9 pm
Weekdays: 10 am - 6 pm
We visited at around 4:30 - 5 pm on Sunday. Apparently, quite a few of the stalls are closed during the day, according to the Polis Facebook group, so if you want the best experience you may want to visit during the weekend. Check the group for the latest on that though. Of course, if you come around 5, like we did, then you will have all the lights to see whatever state the village is in.
There is an itinery of events for Polis over the Christmas Period. The original announcement was in Greek, but courtesy of the Where? Who? When Polis Area Facebook Group, and specifically, Anne Marie Herbert, we are able to show you an English translation overleaf.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
