The Polemi Community Project
Sea View

One of the reasons we moved to Polemi was that it was directly between Paphos and Polis, so we could access both sides of the island easily. In this shot you can see the Polis Coast in the distant. I wouldn't claim that Polemi has a sea view, but if you build a high enough tower, anything is possible!

Towards Ezousa Valley

The countryside around Polemi is very beautiful. There are lots of vineyards as well as country trails that lead to mysterious gorges and scenic vistas. There is also a lot of gypsum in the area, so if you are wondering down a remote path, keep an eye out for some interesting rocks.
Sunny Polemi

The final drone shot shows some more of the village of Polemi itself. There are two supermarkets here and a petrol station at the end of the road. Not to mention nearby restaurants and other villages waiting to be explored. You can arrive here from Paphos safe in the knowledge that you won't run out of anything.
How To Get There

This map shows where the park is in Polemi. To get there, drive from Paphos along the B7 over the big hill, through Tsada and down the other side. When you get to a petrol station, before Stroumpi, take the clearly sign-posted right turn into Polemi. Stay on that road until you drive through the village. When you come to the Corner Bar you will have arrived at the park.
Now A Major Film...
I also took my GoPro and interviewed the team. You can see the results, and some more drone footage, on this film. As stated earlier, there will be an official opening ceremony soon and we will report on that too.
I shall finish by congratulating the Team, the Mukhtar and all the Sponsors on a job well done. You have done the community proud. Hats off to the lot of you!

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
