We parked the car in the free carpark which lies on the outskirts of Latsi. Coming from Polis, you drive through the main part of Latsi, and it is on your left.

I had wanted to do a walking tour film of the area, with my new microphone setup. Unfortunately though, I forgot that the external mic had its own power source, and needed to be switched on. Consequently, I recorded plenty of film but no dialogue. This was a shame, as it was quality banter. I published the film anyway, with a nice relaxing soundtrack. Had there been any sound you would have heard the wind blowing here. Going in this direction there are a number of nice beaches before you get to the Akamas itself. Our Beach Directory has more information.

But on our little journey today, we are more interested in Latsi itself. I have been to the harbour restaurants before on several occasions, but I have never been out on the harbour itself until now. What will I find?

The last time I was here there were a number of boat hire stalls open. The companies have proper offices located up and down the main street, but they also set up shop here to compete for passing trade. Unfortunately the winter gales have taken their toll on the stalls, but they will no doubt be up-and-running again before the tourist season starts.
