Tourist Attraction

Be warned, if you choose to visit, that you will probably not have the bridge to yourself. Just about every jeep safari tour that visits Troodos will call in here along the way. At this time of year that isn't much of an issue, though there were three jeeps parked when we arrived. Call in on a July morning though, and it can get quite crowded.

Side View

From the side, the proximity of the trees is a bit more apparent.

Mind you, they also chopped down the tree further away from the bridge.

Hump

I had forgotten how much of a hump the bridge had. It really is noticable and must make it difficult to ride a bike over. I mention this because in an old advert for Cyprus Tourism they featured a lady apparently cycling over it. I wondered at the time where she would be going, as on the other side the only thing of note is a rather nice nature trail which winds its way up the hill to a viewpoint overlooking the reservoir.

Upstream View

Of course, the hump means that from the top of the bridge you get a nice view of the surrounding area. This is the view upstream. On the right you can see how high the water level got when inflow was at its peak.
