And this is the view downstream. You can see a lot more since they chopped the trees down.

Here's the view from 2018. I wonder why they chopped so many trees down?

When We Had Serious Rain

Speaking about previous publications, back in the winter of 2018/19 Cyprus had a huge amount of rain. Reservoir inflow was over 265,000 mcm (Metric cubic metres, I think). In comparison, this season we have had under 40,000. So the rivers were bursting their banks, and I made a film of it, which you can see here (Kelefos starts at about 3min in):

Navigable

While we were visiting, I observed a Jeep driving through the river. I can only assume that they had come through Paphos Forest from Vretsia, via Roudia Bridge. I haven't driven that way for a year or two myself, and was going to do it later in the year, as I was afraid it might be very muddy in places at the moment. So it was nice to see it was in fact doable at the moment.

Virtual Tour

We obviously can't get enough of Kelefos Bridge, as we even made a virtual tour. It also shows you the nature trail that is next to it. Have fun exploring!
