Xeros River Ruins

Keep Left
Whatever route you take, you want to keep either in or near the river. Don't take the road signposted Salamiou any further than the river itself. You will eventually have to leave the river here, and take the track to the left. You will very soon hit tarmac. There is a track running next to the river here (rather, through it), but that soon hits a dead-end.
Interesting Wildlife
There are lots of birds about at the moment.
Turn Right Here
Continue along the tarmac until you get to this turning. It is about the second or third one you come across, and the only one that doesn't lead immediately to a farmer's field. Turn right here.
Big Cat
I spotted this animal perched on a rock on the way back down to the river. I was puzzled at first, as the ears looked too round to be a fox.

However, closer inspection revealed that it was indeed a fox, looking a lit bit bedraggled.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
