We're back to the river now, and it isn't as dry as it looks here. You might want to wind your windows up at this point though, as you will soon be driving past a farm that has a couple of alsation guard dogs who loooove barking.

And here we must leave our car. This stream joins the main river here, and obviously swelled enough in the winter rain to completely wash the road away.

This shot was taken the second time we visited. You can see here how much less water there is in the stream now, even in that short space of time.

There is still enough water for some decent dam building though. But eventually you will want to cross the stream and continue along the track on the other side.

These are the ruins we wanted to see. On the right you can just make out the top of an old water mill, and on the left there are some more general ruins.
