Amiantos Mine
Work In Progress
You can see from this shot where they have been planting trees. But you can also see that there is a lot of work still to be done.
Pano Amiantos
Looking back from above the mine, you can see what remains of the village of Pano Amiantos. Let's take a closer look.
Closer
The village is dominated by what appears to be a large warehouse.
It looks pretty deserted. However, the road that led to it was fenced off, so I didn't get to have a decent nose around. Those pipes are interesting though. I had seen similar down at the mine.
Behind The Factory
Behind the factor was definitely abandoned. There were holes in the roof of the house, and it was very overgrown.

The Abandoned Hospital at Amiantos Mines
The Cyprus Asbestos Mine is situated right in the heart of Troodos forest. While environmental steps have been taken to turn the area near the mines into a nature park, the hospital has been let to nature.Limni Mine
