Troodos Winter Wonderland 2019
Snow Bunnies!

This was Alex's effort.

Bunny Family

Our daughter made a whole family of rabbits, complete with a big one stuck in a hole.
Snow Tower

There was even a snow tower similar to the rock towers we saw on the beaches earlier in the year.
Parting Shot

This was the road where we parked yesterday. IT IS ALL CLOSED NOW THOUGH! Please check first before venturing up here. If you do try and cannot make it, you will still have plenty of places to explore along the way, so your day won't be wasted. Just drive safely and don't take any unnecessary risk.
Meanwhile, Back On The Coast

It is often said that you can go skiing in the morning and water skiing in the afternoon in Cyprus. The seaside looked nice enough, but we were headed home. The longer we live in Cyprus, the more we feel the cold in winter.
We may go back to Troodos later in the season. It would be nice to go on a hike on a sunny day. It all depends on the weather. Who knows, we may even get snow in Polemi again. Our daughter would certainly like that...
We also made a film of our drive back. You can view it here.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
