Troodos Winter Wonderland 2019
Yesterday (Saturday 5th Jan) we took our annual visit to the Troodos, for fun in the snow. It was really cold so if you are planning a visit wrap up warm, and don't forget a carrot for your snowman. Also, check first, because according to the latest news (Sunday 6th Jan @4PM), the roads are now closed...
At The Ski Centre
The drive up to the slopes was uneventful. Please note that roads are currently closed (as of sunday 6th January) so please check first. We weren't going skiing, but they have loos here, so it is a good place to visit before hitting the piste.
Snow Is Falling
Photography was quite tricky because of the falling snow. Plus it is very slippery and I have to watch where I am walking.
To The Ski Lifts!
This is the route to the ski lifts. The tobogganing run is to the left of the lifts. Watch out though, because there is some sort of stream between here and the lifts, in the distance. Walking across can be a bit tricky if your feet go through the layer of snow. The biggest risk is a splosh of water going up the back of your leg.
Dogs Love Snow Too
Not everybody was here for speed thrills though. This dog was enjoying playing in the snow.
Classic Tantrum
At the foot of the toboggan slope we witnessed a classic tantrum. The child on the left gently hit the netting, and turned round to see if anybody important was looking before deciding whether to cry or not.
